Certified Pool Operator
The NSPF CPO Course is designed to provide individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operation.

Attendance:
Participants taking the CPO course must attend all sessions of the program.  Therefore, it is not practical that students be on call.  However, breaks are provided and students may return calls at that time.

Eligibility:
The National Swimming Pool Foundation does not discriminate against age, sex, nationality, marital status, sexual orientation or religious preference.  Any person who successfully completes the CPO training and passes the applicable exam with a grade of 75% or higher may be certified.

Recertification:
Certification for Pool Operators is valid for a period of five (5) years.  Retesting is required to re-certify at the end of that period.  Due to the complete rewrite and update of course materials, Certification obtained before 2005 must re certify by taking the full course.
